L. Jim Magee, age 57 of Piqua, formerly of Covington, passed away Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at his home. Jim was born in Troy on September 30, 1952 to James L. "Jim" & Barbara A. (Small) Magee of Covington; graduate of Covington High School, Class of 1970; and was a carpenter. Jim is survived by his parents; his wife of 18 years, Patricia J. (Schaefer) Magee; step-son, Thomas S. Doyle of Covington; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Rodney & Tricia Magee of Sitka, Alaska, Jerry & Bobbie Magee of Covington, Kenny Magee of Beavercreek; father-in-law, Jean Schaefer of Cincinnati; mother-in-law, Joann Morris of Cincinnati; other relatives and friends. Funeral service 11:00 am Monday at the Bridges-Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Covington with Revs. Gilbert & Phyllis Welbaum officiating. Interment Highland Cemetery, Covington. The family will receive friends 10:00 am Monday until time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
