Billie L. Thomas, age 88 of Covington, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2017 at the Hospice of Miami County, Inpatient Unit, Troy.  Billie was born on September 3, 1928 in Montgomery County, Ohio to the (late) Earl Thomas & Anna Leona (Lowry) Thomas Woods; was a U.S. Navy Veteran; retired from Armco, Piqua with 30 years of service; caretaker at Rustic Haven, St. Mary for 30+ years; a former member of the Eagles and VFW.  Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Jane Thomas; daughter, Trish Bauer; three sons-in-law, Denny Willoughby, Clyde Shafer, & Paul Owens; two brothers, Robert Thomas & Leonard Woods; and sister, Erleen Patten.  Billie is survived by his children, Pam Willoughby of Covington, Becky & Ronnie Davis of  Piqua, Kathy Shafer of Covington, Cindy Owens of Sidney, Brandon Thomas of Dayton; step-daughter, Sherri & Shawn Killingsworth of Huber Heights; son-in-law, Mike Bauer of Houston; 14 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Jack Woods; and numerous other relatives and friends.  Private family services.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.stockerfraley.com.
