Dorothy L. Rhoades, 97 of Greenville, passed away Monday, April 10, 2017 at the Brethren Retirement Community, Greenville.  Dorothy was born in Darke County on November 23, 1919 to the (late) Grover Cleveland & Margaret (Longfellow) Bayless; was a graduate of Bradford High School; a member of Friedens Lutheran Church; loved watching the Ohio State Buckeyes Football and loved animals.  Preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Norman Marker; second husband, Robert R. Rhoades; step-son, Robert W. Rhoades; two sisters, Ruth Reed and Pauline Harmon; and brother, Robert Bayless.  Dorothy is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jim & Beverly Marker of Bradford; step-daughter, Robin & husband, Jeff Henry of Versailles; 10 grandchildren,  Jamie & Bill Parton of South Lebanon, Jodie & Jason Sensano of Greenville, Jennie & William Corns of Reynoldsburg, Dr. Jeff & Alicia Marker of Jefferson, Georgia, Kristi & Jason Gibson of Versailles, Craig & Leann Henry of Millbury, OH, Todd & Lindsey Henry of Greenville, Justin Rhoades & wife  of Indiana, Josh Rhoades of Florida, Jesse Rhoades of Greenville; 19 great-grandchildren; seven, great-great-grandchildren; brother, Marion Bayless of Bradford; sister-in-law, Marcia Rhoades of Florida; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Miriam & Ron Poling of Versailles; and other relatives and friends.  Graveside service 3:00 PM Thursday at Greenlawn Cemetery, Versailles with Pastor Terry Haworth officiating.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Friedens Lutheran Church or Darke County Humane Society.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.stockerfraley.com.
