Jessie Frances Chafin, age 81, of Piqua, formerly of North Matewan, ,WV, died Sunday, September 17, 2017 at Piqua Manor.  She was born January 3, 1936 in McAndrews, KY to the late Richard & Elizabeth (Johnson) Damron; a member of the Matewan Methodist Church; & she loved attending church services at the nursing home.

Preceded in death by her parents; husband, James “Jack” Chafin; & brother, Nathan Earl Damron.

Jessie is survived by her son, James “Jimmy” Chafin of Troy; daughters, Elizabeth (Scott) Marker of Covington, Wanda Rivera of Piqua, & Pearly (Randy) Lawhorn of Dayton; daughter-in-law, Sherrie Nowicki of Brown City, MI; grandchildren, J.R. Chafin, Richard (Ashley) Chafin, both of South Williamson, KY, Marcus Chafin of Man, WV, Hector A. Rivera of Lorain, Brad L. Rivera of Boca Raton, FL, Frances Chafins (Michael Walker) of Troy, Kellie (Rusty) Wackler of SC, Jessica Martin of Dayton, Tina Davis of Dayton, Paul Russell (Lauren) Phillips of VA, James Chafin of Detroit, MI, Billie Chafin (Joseph Arends) of Sterling Heights, MI, Edward Chafin & Douglas Chafin, both of Brown City, MI; great grandchildren, Randy, Joshua & Nathan Chafin, Jasmine & Riley Chafin, Nyzaiah Rivera, Mykohl, Olyvia & Lincoln Walker, Layla, Julian, Preston & Wyatt Wackler; brother, Ray (Wanda) Damron of Lorain; & other relatives & friends.

Funeral Service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Bridges-Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Covington with Pastor Louis Reindel officiating.  Interment Miami Memorial Park Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Thursday 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.  If desired, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.stockerfraley.com.
