Jimmie R. Alexander, age 72 of Covington, passed away Friday, March 11, 2016 at the Hospice Unit at Upper Valley Medical Center.  Jimmie was born in Greenville on January 6, 1944 to the (late) Paul R. & Goldie (Bowers) Alexander; had previously worked at Jackson Tube, Piqua, Hobart Brothers, Troy, Hartzell Fan, Piqua; a member of the Covington Church of the Brethren; an avid woodworker and loved helping others.  Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Melody Alexander in 2013; and brother, Larry Alexander.  Jimmie is survived by his six children, Kelly Kay Alexander of Conway, SC, Todd & Kim Alexander of Covington, Michael & Brenda Alexander of Covington, Scott & Tammy Alexander of Troy, Tony & Stacey Alexander of Covington, Kris & Heather Alexander of Covington; 13 grandchildren, Alexander, Jennifer, & Ashleigh Courtney, Trent, Joyce Alexander, Danielle, Michelle Alexander, Matthew, Christian Alexander, Hunter, Tyler Alexander, Megan, Nathan Alexander; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ken Alexander of Covington, Rick & Corinna Alexander of Versailles; partner, Jackie Trubee of Covington;  and other relatives and friends.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday 5-7 P.M. at the Bridges-Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Covington.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.stockerfraley.com.
