Louis Frank Hauck, age 70 of Bradford, OH passed away on Monday, July 10, 2017 at the Hospice Inpatient Unit, UVMC, Troy, OH ending a two year battle with leukemia.  Lou was born in Dayton, OH on February 25, 1947 to the (late) Frank Walter and Mary Jane (Moore) Hauck; graduated from Fairmont High School, Class of 1965, then proceeded to Sinclair College where he was in a co-op program with NCR of Dayton.  In 1968, he enlisted into the USAF and was accepted into the Air Force Institute of Technology and was sent to the University of Missouri, followed by Officers Training when he became commissioned.  Later he completed his Master’s Degree at Western New England College.  He entered the Air Force as an Airman 1st Class and retired as a Colonel in Command of the 88th Civil Engineering Squadron at WPAFB in 1998.  After USAF retirement, he was employed by RK Hydrovac, Piqua for 10 years.  Lou is survived by his wife of almost 48 years, Karen (Shafer) Hauck; son, David; daughter and son-in-law, Kenda & Kevin Justice; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Ashley and Eric Fry; grandchildren, Iona Guerin, Mason Justice and Aidan Guerin; his sister and brother-in-law, Nancy (Hauck) & Roger List; along with many other beloved family members and friends.  Lou enjoyed life with family, friends, military members and co-workers and was instrumental in the restoration process of the BJ Tower in Bradford, OH; he was an avid fisherman; and a great handyman.  Funeral service 1:00 P.M. Friday at Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Bradford with Pastor Allen Sudmann & Pastor John Shelton officiating.  Interment Miami Memorial Park Cemetery, Covington with Full Military Honors provided by the WPAFB Honor Guard.  Visitation will be 5-8 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami County or Fisher House\Nightingale, Inc., WPAFB.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.stockerfraley.com.
