Michael Lee Blackford, age 55, of Covington, died February 7, 2017 at his home.  Michael was born June 21, 1961 in Greenville, OH to Jerry and Mary (Strait) Blackford; a graduate of Bethel High School, Class of 1979; worked at Ernst Concrete; attended Bradford Church of the Brethren.

Michael is survived by his parents; loving wife of almost 20 years, Karmyn (Clark) Blackford; 4 children & their spouses, Amy Jo & Kevin Kessler of Piqua, Amanda & Steve Laman of Orient, Kayla & Kody Thiebeau of Covington & Lee & Ashley Blackford of Troy; grandchildren, Connor & Austin Blackford, Cole Laman, Brenna Kessler & Kinley Thiebeau; sister & brother-in-law, Judy & Robert Gay of Tipp City; in-laws, Roger & Kathy Clark of Covington; his dog, “Jax”; other relatives & friends.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday at 2 pm at Fields of Grace Worship Center, 326 E Troy Pike, Covington with Pastor Dan Scalf officiating.  The family will receive friends Saturday, 10 am – 2 pm at the churh.  If desired, contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami County.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.stockerfraley.com.
