Paul Francis Daniel, 99, formerly of Bradford, passed away on Monday, August 22, 2016 at Woodland Oaks Skilled Nursing Facility in Ashland, Kentucky. Born April 12, 1917, in Fort Loramie, he was the son of William G. and Rosa (Behrns) Daniel. He was married to E. Eileen Helman Daniel, who preceded him in death in 1991. Paul was a tool and die maker, retiring from Wayne Trails Technologies in 1982. At various times in his life, he was a gandy dancer on the New York Central Railroad, managed a grain elevator, raised sheep on a small farm, gardened extensively, raised chinchillas, played the accordion, was an amateur wine maker, and was a crack Phase 10 and Rummikub player (when he wasn't caught “bending” the rules). He was an avid reader and fisherman. Paul leaves behind two children, son Richard (and Barbara) Daniel, Proctorville, Ohio, and daughter Patricia (and Rodney) Magee, Sitka, Alaska; five grandchildren, Joshua Magee, Shannon Magee, Michael Daniel, Paula Daniel, and Joseph Daniel, and nine great grandchildren. Paul was also preceded in death by his four brothers Harold, Walter, Karl, and Sylvan, and his two sisters Hildreth Drees and Clarissa Wyen.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. Monday, August 29th at the Immaculate Conception Church in Bradford with Father Ron Haft.  The family will receive friends 3-6 P.M. Sunday, August 28th at the Bridges-Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home in Covington.
