Pauline June “Polly” Whitmer, age 95 of Bradford, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2017 at the Brethren Retirement Community.  Pauline was born on December 27, 1921 to the (late) James & Glenna (Bashor) Rench; was a graduate of Covington High School, Class of 1939; retired from Elson Ford, Versailles; had previously worked for BF Goodrich, Payroll, Troy; WPAFB, Swigert Paint Store; and Champion Paper; a member of the Bradford Church of the Brethren; and a member of the Bradford Area Association of Churches.  Preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Franklin Whitmer in 1996; son, Rex Alan Whitmer; and two sisters, Miriam Sue Jackson and Elizabeth Irene “Betty” Finfrock.  Pauline is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, John Michael & Michelle Whitmer of Blue Grass, Iowa, Mark Steven & Dawn Whitmer of Bradford; daughter and son-in-law, Marsha Jeanne & Kenneth Bubeck of Ludlow Falls; eight grandchildren, Kent Alan Whitmer of Covington, Nancy Ann & Jim Troutwine of Ansonia, Joy & Dustin Graham of Piqua, Kevin & Julie Whitmer of Greenville, Sarena (Whitmer)  & Eric Doerder of Davenport, Iowa, David & Blythe Whitmer of Katy, TX, Melissa Faye & Ronald Renner of Ludlow Falls, Frank Joseph Sargent of Troy; step-grandson, Darrell Swank of Bradford; daughter-in-law, Barbara Whitmer of Bradford; seven great-grandchildren, Mariah & Jordan, Ella, Jameson & Elise, Russell James & Ashley;  and other relatives and friends.  Funeral service 11:00 A.M. at Bradford Church of the Brethren with Pastor Daryl Peeples officiating.  Interment Highland Cemetery, Covington. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. Monday until time of service at the church.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to State of the Heart Hospice, Greenville.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.stockerfraley.com.
