Victor Carl Batdorf, age 91, of Covington, died Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at Brookdale Nursing Home, Piqua. Vic was born March 22, 1925 in Greene County to the late Victor Clyde & Clara May (Stull) Batdorf; a graduate of Beavercreek High School; worked as a grain farmer all his life & raised many turkeys & hogs; a member of the Covington Church of the Brethren where he served as a deacon & a Sunday school teacher; past member of the Farm Bureau; past member of Pork Producers; & past supervisor Miami Soil & Water Conservation.

Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Reva Mae (Huffman) Batdorf; son, Van Carl Batdorf; brothers, Lawrence & Paul Batdorf; sisters, Emma, Mabel & Marjorie Batdorf, Wilma Darding & Florence Semler.

Vic is survived by 3 daughters, Rita & Rowland Shaffer of Cable, OH, Charlene & Ed Ingle of Covington, Jane & Terry Lavy of Covington; son, Dan & Tawni Batdorf; daughter-in-law, Becky & Bob Evans of Conover; 13 grandchildren, Joni & James Hagie, Tiffany & Doug Maynor, Andy & Kate Shaffer, Chris & Wendy Batdorf, Jared & Amy Evans, Chad Ingle, Jeremy & Kendra Ingle, Holly & Shawn Peeples, Amber Lange, Ben & Mollie Lavy, Scott & Bridget Batdorf, Steve & Carla Batdorf, Monica & Curt Goubeaux; 29 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter; & numerous other relatives & many dear friends.  

Funeral service 10:30 am Wednesday at the  Covington Church of the Brethren with Pastor Michael Yingst officiating. Interment Highland Cemetery, Covington.  The family will receive friends 5-8 pm Tuesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Covington Church of the Brethren General Fund or Hospice of Miami County. Condolences may be left for the family at www.stockerfraley.com.
