Floyd A. Shumaker

Floyd A. Shumaker, age 73 of Sidney, passed away Friday, March 8, 2024 at his home.  Floyd was born in Piqua on September 10, 1950 to the (late) Floyd E. & Mary K. (Manning) Shumaker; a graduate of Covington High School, Class of 1968; retired with 30 years of service from ODOT (Ohio Department of Transportation); enjoyed watching the Cleveland Browns, The Ohio State Buckeyes and especially old TV shows; a member of the Troy Eagles Aerie #971; member of AMVETS, Troy, VFW, Piqua, American Legion, Piqua; member of the VETS (Veterans Elite Tribute Squad); enjoyed camping, collecting guns, and hanging out with his friends; but most of all, he loved his family. Preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Helen Shumaker.  Floyd is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sherry (Pry) Shumaker; children, Jennifer “Jenny” & husband, Richard “Joe” Wagner of Piqua, Jon Shumaker & Cassandra “Bear” Gray of Piqua; three grandchildren, Mary & husband, Jake Argabright, Joshua Wagner, and Jana Wagner; great-granddaughter, Avery; brother and sister-in-law, Guy & Margie Shumaker of Springfield, OH; niece, Sara & husband, Phil Prueter; and many friends.  Gathering of Family and Friends 10-12 Noon PM Friday at Bridges-Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, then we will go in procession to Pleasant Hill Cemetery for Interment of Cremains with Military Honors provided by the Veterans Elite Tribute Squad.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.stockerfraley.com.
