Pre-Planning

While pre-planning will not make your death any easier on your family, it will eliminate much of the confusion when the times comes. Much information does not change such as: date of birth, parents' names and military information.

However, some important details do change...new additions of grandchildren, great-grandchildren are examples. But most importantly, this is "no charge" for pre-planning, and you do not have to pay anything to pre-plan.

There may be life insurance, investments or estates that will cover your final expenses. If you do want to pre-pay for peace of mind, or more importantly have to do a spend-down that is required by Medicaid, you are assured that the money is placed in an insurance policy, governed and overseen by the Ohio Funeral Director, Ohio Board of Insurance, the insurance company and Geary & Ada Fraley.

Perhaps the greatest peace of mind comes from knowing you will never have to pay additional funds out of pocket once obligations of the life insurance are met. The obligation is usually structured payments or single pay or 36-120 month payment plans. Often times if the individual is not on Medicaid, the insurance out-performs the price increases of the FIH, and the family receive excess money as return.
