Bill Banks, age 80 of Middletown, Ohio, passed away Sunday, August 5th, 2018. Bill was born in Campton, Kentucky on April 13, 1938 to the late Luther & Nola (Whitt) Banks; he was a graduate and Valedictorian of Trenton High School, Class of 1956; & University of Cincinnati, Class of 1970; a U.S. Army veteran serving in Korea; and retired from Sorg Bay West Mosinee as the Manager of Accounting in 1999 with 42 years of service.
Bill was an extremely funny and brilliant man, but was at heart a devoted, loving husband, father, and grandfather. The epitome of a family man, he also spent his time working in his yard, rooting for his beloved UK Wildcats and Cincinnati Reds, cracking jokes, solving crossword puzzles daily, and laughing with his wife, family, beloved dog, Bentley, and his sweet sister-in-law, Debbie Thomas who was always there for him until the end.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of almost 53 years, whom he married November 19, 1965, Jeanne (Brown) Banks; one son and daughter-in-law, Bill Banks & Robyn (Mauldin) Banks, one daughter, Noelle Banks, and his beloved granddaughter Emma Diane Banks, of whom he constantly spoke of and adored. He is also survived by a sister, Bonnie Allen of Newark, Ohio.
Visitation will be 1-2 PM Friday, August 17th at the Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home, Middletown, Ohio with 2 pm funeral service to follow. Interment to follow at Woodside Cemetery with military honors. Condolences may be left for the family at www.stockerfraley.com.
