Elbert G. Wilhelm, age 85, of Piqua, died August 11, 2018 at Piqua Manor. He was born February 6, 1933 in Covington to the late Carl L & Minnie (Oda) Wilhelm; a graduate of Newton High School, Class of 1951; a U.S.Army Veteran; worked at Piqua Milling Co. as a truck driver & in sales for 32 years; a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, Piqua; loved antique tractors, especially Fords, drove them in many parades & was a member of the Miami County Antique Power Association; & in his retirement, he enjoyed providing transportation for the Old German Baptist for appointments & trips.
Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Connie Wilhelm in 1992; brothers, Cloyd, Lowell, Paul, Harold, John “Jack” & Herbert Wilhelm; sisters, Lois Henderson, Ruth Greer, Hilda Morrow, Kathryn Jay, Mildred Clott, & Henrietta Skinner.
Elbert is survived by his son, Jeff Wilhelm of Piqua, granddaughter, Jessica Wilhelm of Piqua; brother, Richard Wilhelm of Tipp City; sister, Margaret Moore of St. Marys; & a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.
Funeral Service will be held Thursday at 11am at Bridges-Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Covington with Pastor Craig Martin officiating. Interment Miami Memorial Park Cemetery with Military Honors provided by V.E.T.S. Visitation will be held Wednesday 5-8pm at the funeral home.
