Emma Jean Kenworthy

Emma Jean Kenworthy, age 86 of Bradford, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at State of the Heart Hospice Inpatient Unit, Greenville.  Jean was born on May 15, 1932 in Morristown, TN to the (late) John Augustus & Bessie Lee (Lowry) Shannon; a graduate of Morristown High School; retired as a cook from Bradford Exempted Village Schools with 32 years of service; attended Bradford Church of the Brethren; a 32 year charter member of the Bradford Lioness Club; loved gardening, cooking, baking, watching her grandkids and great-grandkids play sports; loved family activities; and had a wonderful sense of humor.  Preceded in death by her parents; husband of 61 years, Willard S. Kenworthy Jr. in 2016; daughter, Lori J. Kenworthy in 2015; daughter-in-law, Carla R. Kenworthy; grandson, Wesley Kenworthy, great-grandson, Zion Kenworthy; and two sisters, Amanda Spoon and Ethel Birchfield.  Jean is survived by her four children, Steve & Norma Kenworthy of Bradford, Debra Kenworthy & Terrie Oestreicher of Bradford, Stan Kenworthy of Piqua, Becky & Mark Harleman of Bradford; grandchildren, Levi Kenworthy & fiancée, Kerah Elmore, Katlyn & Jason Francis, Derek & Jessica Kenworthy, Brittany Kenworthy, Charity & Nate Toon, Brooke & Kyle McClure, Jenny Reedy, Brent & Nikki Harleman,  Bessie & Alex Frantz; 18 great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Jim & Gwen Shannon of Morristown, TN; brother-in-law, Roy Spoon of Morristown, TN; other relatives and friends.  Funeral service 10:30 AM Tuesday at Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Bradford with Pastor John Shelton officiating.  Interment Miami Memorial Park Cemetery, Covington.  Visitation 5-8 PM Monday at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to State of The Heart Hospice, Greenville.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.stockerfraley.com.
