Garry Edward Frazier, age 62, of Laura died Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Grandview Hospital, Dayton. He was born March 16, 1956 in Richmond, KY to the late Edward Clay Frazier & Dovie Faye Abney; a graduate of West Milton Schools, class of 1974; a hard working man who owned his own business, Frazier’s Blacktop for many years & also worked for Cooper Blacktop; an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting & just being in nature; he loved watching his grandkids at their sporting events; he was known to many as “The Bowl Man” for crafting hand hewn wooden bowls & one-of-a-kind walking sticks; & he loved to attend the Abney family reunion every year in Kentucky.
Preceded in death by his parents; & brother, Jackie Frazier. Garry is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Lori Mitchell-Frazier; daughter, Heather (Matthew) Keating of Eaton; 3 grandsons, Kase, Sawyer & Holt Keating; brother, Larry (Lynn) Frazier of Kettering; sister, Vickie (Linville) Gray of Lebanon; & a beloved extended family that included nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, special friends & his partner in crime, Ellie.
Visitation will be held Wednesday 4-8 pm at Bridges-Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Covington. At a later date, Garry will be returned to the hills of Kentucky where he loved to be. In honor of the love that Garry had for the outdoors & wildlife, it would be important for him to have contributions made to Brukner Nature Center, 5995 Horseshoe Bend Rd, Troy, OH 45373.
