Melissia "Moogie" Jane (Mullennix) Hess

Melissia “Moogie” Jane Hess, age 69, of Covington, died Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Kettering Hospital.  She was born March 9, 1949 in Piqua to the late Max & MaryAnn (Clark) Mullennix; attended Covington High School; a charter member of Favorite Hill Baptist Church, Piqua; & she was a loving grandmother.

Preceded in death by her parents; sister, Marcia Mullennix; & 3 brothers, Gordon, Garland & Gerald Mullennix.

Moogie is survived by her son, Brent (Kim) Hess of Celina; daughter, Brenda (Stephen) Sargent of Miamisburg; 3 grandchildren, Brandon & Kaci Hess & Jacob Sargent; 2 brothers, Galen & Glen Mullennix; sister, Maxine Mullennix, all of Covington; sister-in-law, Cindy Mullennix of Piqua; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, June 30, at 12 noon at Bridges-Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home with Chaplain Rebecca Sousek officiating.  Interment of cremains Highland Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 10am until time of service.  If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House or the Hadley School for the Blind.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.stockerfraley.com.
