Melody “Mel” Baker, age 54 of Bradford, died Friday, October 26, 2018 at Grandview Hospital, Dayton. She was born May 8, 1964 in Troy to the late Dale & Barbara (Wood) Murphy; attended Bradford High School; worked as a cook at Wayne Hospital, Greenville. Mel was actively involved in the life of many people in Bradford in many ways; she was the Vice President of the Bradford Community Club; & volunteered for Manna & Shared Harvest for 3 years. She enjoyed horseback riding. But most of all, she loved her kids & grandkids.
Preceded in death by her parents. Mel is survived by 3 daughters, Amber (Jason) Thobe of Bradford, Alicia Graham of Sidney & Abbagale (Jlee) Wilburn of Bradford; 8 grandchildren, Levi, Landon & Leeum Thobe, SkylerDale, Wyatt & Tucker Graham, JayLynn & Addalynn Wilburn; brother, Dale (Janie) Murphy Jr of West Milton; 2 sisters, Carla Osborn (Robert Hagie) of Covington, & Jennifer (Alan) Knight of Bradford; special friend, Terry Billings; other relatives & many friends.
Funeral Service will be held Wednesday at 8pm at Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Bradford. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 6pm until time of service. The Bradford Community Club will be holding a fundraiser Sunday, November 4, 10:30-2:30 to help Mel’s family with final expenses. Condolences may be left for the family at www.stockerfraley.com.
