Monroe D. Earsley Sr., age 69 of Greenville, passed away Friday, August 2, 2019 at the VA Medical Center, Dayton. Monroe was born in Minot, ND on September 15, 1949 to the (late) Homer & Hazel (Christianson) Earsley; was a US Army Veteran serving during Vietnam in the 101st Airborne Ranger Division and was awarded Four Bronze Stars; retired as an Electric Lineman from Arcanum Public Utilities; was a member of the VFW, Greenville; loved hunting and fishing; loved playing pool; enjoyed playing his 12 string guitar and drums and singing, especially “House of the Rising Sun”. Preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jerome Earsley. Monroe is survived by his son, Monroe Earsley Jr. of Fort Supply, OK; daughter, Tammy Earsley Farris of Chandler, TX; step-son and wife, Randy & Mindy Ward of Ansonia; brother, Weston Earsley of Washington; many grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
