Neva K. Houser, age 95 of Bradford, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2017 at the Genesis Health Center, Troy.  Neva was born in Bradford on August 1, 1921 to the (late) George & Pearl (Boyer) Sargent; a graduate of Bradford High School, Class of 1939; had previously worked at Piqua Memorial Hospital and Head Cook at Bradford Exempted Village Schools; and a member of the Bradford First Baptist Church.  Neva liked to read until she lost her sight and then loved to listen to books on tape. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, William R. Houser I in 1995; son, William R. Houser II; daughter, Marcia Kay Houser; six brothers, Florist “Mutt”, Carl, Norman, Herbert, Roy “Bud”, and Harry “Dutch” Sargent; eight sisters, Fairy Palsgrove, Veretta Brumbaugh, Olive Ganger, Maude Henderson, Velma Miller, Etoile Wine, Miriam Hackett, and Fhern Cress.  Neva is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Joyce & Larry Heisey of Troy; son, Christopher Houser of Sidney, Daughter-in-law, Loretta Houser of Bradford; two grandchildren, William R. & Lori Houser III of Bradford, Angela Murphy of Bradford; five great-grandchildren, Damen Reagan, Marissa Murphy, Logan Houser, Cierra Houser, Riley Houser; special nephew, Thomas Palsgove; special friend, Linda Kochersperger; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Funeral service at Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Bradford 2:00 P.M. Monday with Pastor Lincoln Robinson officiating.  Interment Harris Creek Cemetery, Bradford.  Visitation at the funeral home 12 Noon Monday until time of service.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ohio Library for the Blind and Physically Disabled, 17121 Lake Shore Blvd., Cleveland, OH 44110 or Troy-Miami County Library.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.stockerfraley.com.
