Robert Lee Bashore Sr

Robert Lee “Bob” Bashore Sr, age 92 of Covington, died peacefully in his sleep early Saturday morning, December 22, 2018 at StoryPoint Senior Living, Troy.  He was born April 24, 1926 in Troy, OH to the late Jacob Herbert & Mildred (Strieb); attended Bradford Schools; a U.S. Army Veteran, serving during WWII; worked as a carpenter for 65 years; a Scottish Rite Mason, serving 16 times as Past Master of the Bradford Lodge; a member of Shriners International; a lifetime member of VFW; & a lifetime member of American Legion, AB Cole Post #80, Covington.

Preceded in death by his parents; son, Robert Lee Bashore Jr in 1997; & siblings, Betty Jane Miller, George Adam Bashore, Joseph Dale Bashore, Richard “Dick” Nealeigh Bashore, Gerold Herbert Bashore, Maxine Patty & Thelma Karolyn Brock.

Bob is survived by his 2 grandchildren, Robert Lee (Amy) Bashore III of Melbourne, FL & their children, Tyler & Samuel, & Lori (Bill) Klump of Franklin, TN & their children, Victoria, Sierrah & Micaiah; 2 sisters, Doris Ann Shuey of Dayton & Miriam Sue (Jim) Gatling of McKinney,TX; & numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.

Funeral Service will be held Friday at 11 am at Bridges-Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Covington.  Interment Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Military Honors provided by V.E.T.S. Visitation will be held Friday 9 am until time of service.
