When we were first married, we lived in an apartment behind Viola & Lester's home, and they were the first friends I had in Covington. Later when we had children, the girls baby-sat for us. Viola was very friendly and I will miss seeing her at St. John's.

Viola was such a beautiful person, and our staffed loved her like family. She, as well as her family, will be so greatly missed. Thank you for the honor of caring for Viola the past several years.

Please accept our sincere sympathies. I always enjoyed seeing Lester and Viola's smiling faces when they come into the Post Office. One of the greatest joys I had while working as Postmaster of Covington was helping friends and neighbors with their mailing needs, I always considered Viola and Lester good friends and generous people.
