Archie L. Koogler, age 90, of Covington, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Brookdale of Troy. Archie was born in Xenia, Ohio on April 3, 1930 to the (late) Archie B. & Ethel E. (Sidenstick) Koogler; was an U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Korean War; retired as Master Mechanic at Standard Oil Co./BP Oil Co. with 30 years of service; in his earlier years he farmed and raised livestock; and he enjoyed working in his garden. Preceded in death by his parents; great-grandchild, Madison McDuffie; and his siblings, Kermit L. Koogler, Mary C. Hunt, Paul F. Meese, Milo P. Koogler, Goldie P. Coblentz Smith, Fonnie B. Koogler, Ezra G. Koogler, Ethel Berdelia Wagner, & Sylvia M. Forsythe; and sister-in-law, Janice K. Neff & (Jack). Archie is survived by his wife of 47 years, Joyce A. (Woolridge) Koogler; his children, Archie Louis Koogler III & (Pamela), William Russell Koogler & (Kathy) Hayes, Mark Anthony Koogler & (Sharon), Julie Lynn Koogler & (Trent) Hornbacker; Grandchildren, Amanda Perry, Kasey & (Benjamin) McDuffie, Brandon & (Julie) Koogler, Matthew & (Anna Taylor) Koogler, Evan & (Emily) Koogler, Marilee Koogler, Amy & (Brian) Bowling, Mark & (Michelle) Koogler, Brittany & (Armando) Lizasuain, Aaron Koogler; great-grandchildren, Shamus Perry, Teagan Perry, Makala McDuffie, Benjamin McDuffie, Conner Koogler, Eleanor Koogler, Amelia Koogler, Lauren Bowling, Lydia Bowling, Jackson Koogler,& Amber Koogler; first wife, Virginia Koogler; brother, Casper G. Koogler (wife, Barbara A. (Forsyth) Deceased); sister, Grace J. Croutcher (husband, Joseph Croutcher Jr., Deceased); brother-in-law, Edman W. Woolridge, & (Barbara); and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Memorial Service Saturday, March 6th at 10:30 AM at The Apostolic Sanctuary, 1907 Centralia Avenue, Fairborn with Pastor Mark A. Koogler, his son, officiating. Family and friends are welcomed at 10:00 AM Saturday at the church. Interment will follow at Byron Cemetery where there will be Military Honors.
