Arlene G. Boyer

Arlene G. Boyer, age 83 of Bradford, passed away Saturday, January 22, 2022 at her home.  Arlene was born in Bradford on July 11, 1938 to the (late) Emmett L. & Lucy (Moul) Boyer; a graduate of Bradford High School, Class of 1956; retired from General Motors with 41 years of service; a member of Bradford First Presbyterian Church and was past Junior and Senior Choir Director; a member of the Versailles Eagles Aerie #2347; member of Order of Eastern Stars, Tippecanoe Chapter; loved gardening; enjoyed traveling; an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Bengals; in the past she won the “Prince of Peace Contest” which was a speech that was religious based; was a historian of WWII, Military, and Railroad history; she enjoyed feeding the birds and squirrels; loved dogs but truly loved and had many cats.  Preceded in death by her parents and her infant sister, Saundra Boyer.  Arlene is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Barbara & Gayle Rhoades of Greenville; niece, Jody L. Rhoades and her daughter, Mackenzie L. Cantrell, both of Arcanum; nephew, Marc E. & Tiffany Rhoades and their children, Madelynn G. Rhoades and Quinn E. Rhoades, all of Brookville; cousin, Diane & Fred Rhoades of Troy and their son and daughter-in-law, Eric & Amanda Rhoades; other relatives and friends.  Funeral Service 2:00 PM Saturday at Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Bradford with Pastor Mike Buker officiating.  Interment Harris Creek Cemetery, Bradford.  Visitation will be 12 Noon Saturday until time of service at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Bradford First Presbyterian Church.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.stockerfraley.com.
