Barbara Jean Barnes, age 74 of Piqua, passed away Friday, January 17, 2025 at the Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy.  Barbara was born in Troy on November 10, 1949 to the (late) Karl & Luella (Ryman) Brumbaugh; a graduate of Bradford High School, Class of 1968; attended college classes; retired from Hobart Corporation, Troy with 43 years of service; a member of the Valley Church, Piqua; member of the American Legion Post # 184, Piqua; her and Wayne were season ticket holders for years for the Dayton Dragons; enjoyed reading; loved cats, especially her cat, Muffy; loved attending sporting events at Miami East Schools for her grandchildren.  Preceded in death by her parents; infant granddaughter, Dallas Star; brother, Jimmy Brumbaugh; and her dog, Sandy.  Barbara is survived by her daughter, Tamara Barnes and her significant other, Ray Casey of Fletcher; six grandchildren, Arielle Barnes, Lauren Barnes, Elliott Barnes, Kiara O’Toole, Colton O’Toole,  Zack O’Toole, and Anthony Chalmers; significant other for 26 years, Wayne Chalmer and his family, Chris Chalmers of Piqua and his child, Megan Chalmers & Nikki Chalmer of Piqua and her child, Avery Chalmers; sister, Betty Honeyman of Troy; brother, Herbie Brumbaugh of Bradford; niece, Sheila Honeyman of Troy; nephew, Brett Brumbaugh of Bradford; other relatives and friends.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held 7:00 PM Saturday, February 8th at Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Bradford with Pastor Charles Wilkins officiating.  Visitation/Gathering of Family and Friends Saturday February 8th from 4:00 PM until time of service.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.stockerfraley.com.
