Barbara Ann Steele

Barbara Ann Steele, age 70 of Piqua, passed away Saturday, November 9, 2024 at her daughter’s home.  Barbara was born in Bluefield, West Virginia on May 2, 1954 to the (late) Charles Thompson and Georgia (Fields) Thompson; was a wonderful homemaker, attended Piqua Baptist Church; worked at Ace Hardware; bartended for many years; did in-home nursing; former member and bartender at the Piqua Fish and Game; she loved music, especially singing, enjoyed karaoke, and an avid animal lover.  Preceded by her parents; brothers, Eddie Thompson and Malcolm Thompson; sisters, Linda Powell and Sue Penny; and niece, Darlene O’Neal.  Barbara was survived by her five children, Randy & Paula Peters of Piqua, Richard Peters of Piqua, Opal Steel of Troy, Tonya Steele of Piqua, Ashley Steele & Roy Morrison of Piqua; 19 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and one on the way; brother and sister-in-law, Danny & Yvonne “Cookie” Thompson of Arizona; special niece, Kim Hudelson of Sidney; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends and her beloved doggies, Bella and Runt Runt.  Celebration of Life 1:00 – 4:00 PM Saturday, November 23rd at the Piqua Country Club, 9812 N.
