Barbara Jane Long

Barbara Jane Long, age 86, of Greenville, formerly of Bradford passed away on October 16, 2024 at the Village Green in Greenville.  Barbara was born in Covington, OH on June 15, 1938 to the late Floyd and Theresa (O’Brien) Cain; was a loving homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church, Bradford.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Robert Long Sr. of 37 years; daughter Darcia Lingo; sisters Treva Fiste and Reva Cain and brothers Ricky Cain and Charles Cain.  She is survived by four children Debra Abernathy of Greenville, OH, Terri (Daniel) Givens of Piqua, OH, Shelley (Aaron) Kuhn of Bradford, OH and Bobby (Peggy) Long of Bradford, OH; eleven grandchildren; many great grandchildren; brothers Bob (Joan) Cain of Covington, OH, Jack (Karen) Cain of Bradford, OH and JR (Vicki) Cain of Laura, OH; sisters Joanne Taxis of Casstown, OH and Cheryl Moore of Laura, OH; special caregiver Carla Bubp-Hill of Ansonia, OH; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family would like to thank the Village Green and EverHeart Hospice for their care.

Graveside Service will be held 1:00PM Saturday, October 19, 2024 at Stelvideo Cemetery, Gettysburg, OH with Pastor Dane Driver officiating.  Memorial contributions may be made to EverHeart Hospice. Condolences may be expressed to the family through www.stockerfraley.com.
