Beverly “Bev” Jeanette Marker, age 78 of Bradford, passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at State of the Heart Care, Greenville. Bev was born in Darke County on July 14, 1942 to the (late) Donald Eugene Coates & Rhea Elizabeth (Carnahan) Coates Leistner; was a graduate of Gettysburg High School, Class of 1960; retired as Deputy Director of the Board of Elections of Darke County; a past member and Worthy Matron of the Order of Eastern Stars, Gettysburg Lodge; a member of the Republican Women’s Association; she was selected as Republican Woman of the Year – Darke County; enjoyed sewing, working jigsaw puzzles and doing crossword puzzles; she loved spending time with her grandkids. Preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Jack Coates & Ronnie Coates. Bev is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, James Dennis Marker; her four children and their spouses, Jamie & Bill Parton of South Lebanon, OH, Jodie & Jason Sensano of Greenville, Jennie & William Corns of Carroll, OH, Jeffrey & Alicia Marker of Flowery Branch, GA; 11 grandchildren, Kory & Kristin Floyd, Sara & Kyle Macaluso, Chad & Lacie Grosch, Kaitlyn & Brian Weber, Kelsea & Kyle Brake, Meghan Parton, Alyson & Jacob Kaufman, Taylor Corns, Kaedence Sensano, Jaden Sensano & James Marker; nine great-grandchildren, Sadie, Shelby, Savannah, Ellie, Rylan, Adalee, Caleb, Amelia & Reece; brother and sister-in-law, Kenny & Ona Coates of Greenville; sister, Jane Smith of Troy; sister-in-law, Joann Coates of Troy; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Funeral Service 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 30th at Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Bradford with Pastor Terry Haworth officiating. Private interment at Harris Creek Cemetery, Bradford. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Visitation from 11:00 AM, Wednesday, December 30th until time of service at 1:00 PM.
