Billee L. Johnson

Billee L. Johnson, age 79 of Piqua, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at her granddaughter’s home.  Billee was born in Piqua on May 12, 1945 to the (late) Paul & Eileen (Nicholas) Hartley; a graduate of Covington High School, Class of 1963;  had retired as a Special Needs Bus Aide with Piqua City Schools; had also been a Bus Driver with Council on Rural Services; loved collecting anything chicken; enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Reds; new at least one NFL player on every team; babysat her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; she enjoyed going to watch her grandkids and great-grandkids sporting events and activities; however, she loved her some Coke-A-Cola!  Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gene Johnson in 1987; brother, Ted Hartley and step-daughter, Theresa (Johnson) Studebaker.  Billee is survived by her two daughters, Nicole Hatcher and Julie Edgell, both of Piqua; step-son, Harold Johnson of Piqua; three grandchildren, Jessica Shrout, Danielle & husband, Shawn Starrett, and Calleigh Edgell; three great-grandchildren, Brayden Lasater, Brileigh & Jaxxon Starrett; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Celebration of Life Service 7:00 PM Tuesday at Bridges-Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Covington.  Visitation 5:00 PM until time of service at the funeral home.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.stockerfraley.com.
