Carol Jo Vogt

Carol Jo Vogt, age 76 of Covington, passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at Ohio Hospice of Miami County, Troy.  Carol was born in Piqua on October 7, 1946, to the (late) Joseph Green & Nellie Ivalene (Fisher) Green Shaner; a graduate of Versailles High School, Class of 1964 and received her Bachelor’s Degree of Liberal Arts from Wright State University; retired as a Substitute Teacher; had previously worked as a Nurses Aide at Stouder Hospital, Troy; and was an avid animal lover.  Preceded in death by her parents.  Carol is survived by her husband of 54 years, Michael “Mike” M. Vogt; son and daughter-in-law, Tony & Erin Vogt of St. Cloud, MN; two grandsons, six-year-old, Aiden and three-year-old, Elliott; three siblings, Dennis & Linda Green of Covington, Marcella & Ronald Armstrong of Tipp City, and Joseph “Joe” & Julie Green of Piqua; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; and numerous beloved pets.  Celebration of Life at Bridges-Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Covington, Friday, October 20th at 1:30 – 2:30 PM.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ohio Hospice of Miami County or ASPCA.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.stockerfraley.com.
