Carolyn Lee Reck

Carolyn Lee Reck, 81, of Loveland, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 18, 2022.

Carolyn was born on October 3, 1940, to Harold and Mary (Armstrong) Jones in Dayton, Ohio.  At the young age of 7, she and her siblings went to live at Shawn Acres Children’s Home in Dayton, Ohio.  She later moved to Bradford, Ohio where she lived at Stocker Funeral Home with Mr. & Mrs. Chester Stocker.  It was while living there that she sang in the church choir at Bradford Church of the Brethren and met her husband, Lee Roy Reck.  They were married 54 years until his death on September 29, 2014.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; spouse, Lewis Lee Roy Reck of Loveland, OH, her daughter, Cindy Lee Ponder of Springdale, AR, her grandson, Cody Wayne Sullivan of Loveland, OH, and her great-grandson, Corbett Josiah Lyons of Manila, Philippines.  She is survived by her children, Roxanna Myrick, married to Dennis Myrick of Hutchinson, KS, Mark Walter Reck of Conway, AR, Gail Ann Sullivan of Loveland, OH, Dawnia Kay Reck and fiancé, Vinnie Berardi of Loveland, OH; and son-in-law, Stephen Ponder of Springdale, AR.  Carolyn has 11 surviving grandchildren and 16 surviving great-grandchildren.

Her children wish to thank her for being the best mom in the world.  She worked many years along side her husband and children on the farm and in the chicken houses.  She made sure that they had home cooked meals, knew all about God and His salvation, and always made them feel loved.  She had many other step-grandkids as well that loved her dearly.

Funeral Service 2:00 PM Saturday, January 22, 2022 at the Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, 131 W. Oakwood Street, Bradford, OH.  Visitation 1:00 PM Saturday until time of service.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.stockerfraley.com.
