Carolyn Sue Schilling, age 73 of Troy, passed away Thursday, December 24, 2020 at her home. Carolyn was born in Logan County, West Virginia on November 24, 1947 to the (late) Cecil & Rosie (Marcum) Browning and retired from Spinaker in Troy. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Otto Schilling Sr. in 1998; two brothers, Cecil Browning and Walter Browning; and two sisters, Maxine & husband, Ermal Marcum and Billie Thompson. Carolyn is survived by her children, Greg Hogue of Texas, Steve & Karol Hogue of Bradford, John Schilling Jr. of Covington, Marvin Schilling of Wisconsin, Sandy & Jim Svelund, Bill & Stephanie Schilling, all of Sidney; 10 grandchildren, Alex Schilling, Cameron Schilling, Spencer Hogue, Sydney Hogue, Steve & Liz Svelund, Caitlin Svelund, Todd & Amanda Schilling, Matt Schilling, Brianna Schilling, and Sierra Schilling; and great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Barb & Tom French of Orlando, FL; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Raymond & Jean Browning of Troy, Bud & Betty Browning of West Virginia; sister-in-law, Phyllis Cox of Greenville; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral Service 12 Noon Thursday, Bridges-Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Covington with Pastor Dan Scalf officiating. Interment Highland Cemetery, Covington. Visitation 10:00 AM Thursday until time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Pink Ribbon Girls.
