Charles “Chuck” E. Slusher, age 94 of Troy, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2026 at StoryPoint of Troy. Chuck was born in Hagerstown, Indiana on December 13, 1931 to the (late) Howard C. & Kathryn (Irey) Slusher. He retired as the Plant Manager of Alltel Telephone Company with 34 years of service; had previously been a volunteer fireman in Albany, Ohio; enjoyed bird watching, woodworking and was an animal lover, especially dogs. Preceded in death by his parents; son, Howard Slusher in 2009; brother, Howard Junior Slusher; and infant brother, William Slusher. Chuck is survived by his wife of 75 years, Mary Magdalyn (Ucker) Slusher, who he married on October 7, 1950; his seven children, Rose Mary (Tony) Fulkerson of Great Falls, VA, Gary E. (Angie) Slusher of Covington, Victoria (Paul) Jankoviak of Golden, CO, Mike (Cindy) Slusher of Washington, WV, Dave Slusher of Troy, Mark Slusher of Troy, and Charles Slusher of Piqua; 17 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Kay Metallo of Suffield, CT; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Celebration of Life Service 1:30 PM Saturday at Bridges-Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Covington. Interment Miami Memorial Park Cemetery, Covington. Visitation 1:00 PM Saturday until time of service.
