Craig Colby Obituary

Craig Stanley Colby, 64, of Houston, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his home on December 25th, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on June 9th, 1961 to (late) Richard and Marcella (Mader) Colby, graduated from Houston High School, Class of 1979, and dedicated his life to the Colby Family Dairy Farm. Following in the footsteps of his father, Craig found joy in raising and milking dairy cows, planting and harvesting crops, and sharing that love with his family and friends. He was a long time member of the Ohio Holstein Association and an avid supporter of the Shelby County Junior Fair. He also dedicated 17 years as a tax specialist with H&R Block, utilizing his skills to help others whenever he could. Craig had a soft spot for Australian cattle dogs and always had them as a companion while working on the farm. In the evenings, Craig cherished eating dinner around the table with his loved ones, watching nightly shows, and ending the night with a game of Solitaire. Craig is survived by his wife of 37 years, Patricia Colby, of Houston, his brother, Larry Colby of Houston; three children, Brandon Colby (Alexandra Myhal), Nicholas Colby, and Jessica Colby; two grandchildren, Louis and Bernadette Myhal-Colby. A visitation will be held on Tuesday December 30th, at Bridges-Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Covington, from 4-7PM, and a funeral service will be Wednesday December 31st at 11:30AM with Fr. Eric Bowman. Interment Forest Hill Cemetery, Piqua. If desired, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association and/or Ohio Hospice of Miami County.
