Daryl Clarence Huelskamp, age 89 of Bradford, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2025 at Ohio Hospice of Miami County, Troy. Daryl was born in Bradford on September 26, 1935 to the (late) Clarence Nicholas & Josephine Judith (Didier) Huelskamp; a graduate of Bradford High School, Class of 1953; was owner and operator of Huelskamp & Son Trucking for many years; a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Bradford; past member of the Piqua Elks; drove racecars – yellow car – at Eldora and kept it hid from Grandpa; enjoyed watching all the old shows, especially Andy Griffith and Quincy; was a fan of the Cincinnati Red, Cincinnati Bengals, The Ohio State University, and NASCAR – especially Dale Earnhart; never met a stranger, and loved to share his trucker stories. Preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Faith Ellen (Haines) Huelskamp in 1988; son-in-law, James’s “Bo” Michael; sister-in-law, Kay Huelskamp; and brothers-in-law, Dick Patty and John Rimkus. Daryl is survived by his wife of 34 years, Helen Marie (Magoto) Canan Huelskamp; his five children, Tamberlyn & Gary Krall of Henrietta, NY, Bonnie Michael of Piqua, Danielle & Andrew Teach of Piqua, Brian Huelskamp of Cookeville, TN and Susan & Toby Pfuntner of Piqua; his step-children, Gary & Wendy Canan of Bradford, Kent & Brenda Canan of Bradford, Karen & Chuck Platfoot of Versailles, twins, Judy & Kevin Hock of Troy and Jill Brewer of Covington; 30 grandchildren; 43 and one on the way great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; siblings, Martha Lou & John Higgins of Tipp City, Don & Geri Huelskamp of Covington, Yvonne Patty of Bradford; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Prayer Service 12 Noon Tuesday at Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Bradford. Interment Miami Memorial Park Cemetery, Covington. Visitation 10:00 AM Tuesday until time of service.
