Donald P. Leistner, age 75 of Bradford, passed away Friday, July 30, 2021 at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton. Don was born in Piqua, OH on November 18, 1945 to the (late) Charles P. & Alma A. (Miller) Leistner; a graduate of Bradford High School; retired with 48 years of service from Hobart Ground Power (ITW), Troy; was a member and deacon at Greenville Creek Christian Church, Bradford; a former Volunteer Firefighter and EMT with Bradford Fire & Rescue, where he also played Santa Claus; he was a master woodworker; loved his farm and really enjoyed mowing the lawn there; a vegetable gardener; was a former race car driver and loved muscle cars; and an avid fan of NASCAR. Donald is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Marsha Louise (Major) Leistner; two daughters and sons-in-law, Monica & Brad Fellers of Fletcher, Sara & Nathan Underwood of Urbana; four grandchildren, Kiera Fellers & fiancé, Colby Chrisman, Kyle Fellers, Ashley Good, & Ayden Underwood; brother and sister-in-law, James “Jim” H. & Louanne Leistner of Greenville; mother-in-law, Dot Hatcher of Piqua; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Sue & Elliott Johnson of Arizona; two brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Mike & Jane Major of Urbana, Mike Hatcher of Beavercreek; other relatives and many dear friends. Memorial Service will be held 6:00 PM Wednesday at Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Bradford with Pastor Daryl Peeples officiating. John Haller will be singing a song that he wrote the music to and was written by Marsha, “To Cast A Shadow”. Visitation 4 PM until time of service at the funeral home.
