Eunice Lenora Green passed away peacefully on Monday, January 15, 2024, in Jupiter, Florida. She was a loving wife, loyal aunt and a passionately dedicated servant of the Lord. Eunice Lenora Rose was born on January 6, 1943, in North Vernon, Indiana to Eunice Virginia (List) and Dale Bryant Rose. Eunice had two brothers and one sister. Elmer Dale Rose was her beloved older brother; Charles Edward was five years younger. Her sister, Theresa Jane was only 15 months older than Eunice. She was preceded in death by her siblings. Eunice is survived by her nephews, Dale Brian Rose and wife, Natalie of Washington; nephew, Charles Lee Rose and wife, Nicole of Nevada and nephew, Scott Douglas Rose and wife, Heather of California. Eunice had 17 grand-nieces and nephews and nine great-grand-nieces and nephews with three on the way. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Merton W. Hartle, who died November 1, 1986. Eunice married Billy Harold Green on June 11, 1989; they shared a passion for faith and lived happily together in both Ohio and Florida until his death in October, 2011. Eunice was driven to serve the Lord from a young age. After graduating in 1961, from Sandcreek High School, North Vernon, Indiana, she attended Gods Bible School in Cincinnati, Ohio before moving to Florida to attend Hobe Sound Bible College. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Hobe Sound Bible College in 1966. Armed with education and a passion for the Lord, Eunice began her long career as a missionary. She served the Bahamian community for nearly 18 years, where she touched many lives in that region, both young and old sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ. In 1984, Eunice left the Grand Bahamas; she moved to Ohio, where she served the community in many ways. Friends and family recall her teaching Sunday School, attending to the elderly and serving her church. Her delightful wit and servant heart are hallmarks of her spirit that will comfort family and friends, who keep her in their memories. Because Eunice’s work took her to many places in the world, family and friends will conduct two services celebrating her beautiful life. Funeral Service officiated by Rev. John Manley to be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, January 23, 2024 in the chapel at Woodland Cemetery and Arboretum located at 118 Woodland Avenue, Dayton, Ohio and a visitation will start at 12:00 PM Noon.
