Frederick R. Hubbard, age 78 of Columbus, and his childhood in Bradford, passed away on November 30, 2025 in Columbus. Frederick was born in Piqua on April 21, 1947 to the (late) Fred & Helen (Hartzell) Hubbard. Fred served in the Navy for four years as a cook, where he learned his cooking and baking skills; his Christmas recipes were the best which included Christmas cookies and peanut butter fudge. He worked as a cabinet maker for many years and when he moved to Florida, he did wallpaper hanging and painting. Fred took care of his mother for six months before she passed away and his sister said he was a “good caring person” and his family will miss him a lot. Preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Tom Hubbard. Fred is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Heather (Phillip) Gilmore; three grandsons, Ian, Jessie and Cody Gilmore; sister and brother-in-law, Carol (Gary) Willey-Patton; his sister’s dog and his best friend, Peanut; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. A Graveside Service and Interment of Cremains to be held at Gettysburg Cemetery at 1:00 PM Saturday, April 25th with Friend, Cheryl Powell officiating.
