Jack C. Frantz, age 85 of Bradford, passed away Saturday, July 20, 2024 at his home. Jack was born in Darke County on March 11, 1939 to the (late) Chester Doyle Frantz & Hilda Mary (Bernholt) Frantz Long; worked at Westerville Creamery, Hobart Brothers, and then started his own business, Frantz Septic Tank Cleaning in 1970 and retired in 2000. Jack was a proud member of the AMVETS Post #66, Covington, Covington Eagles, and the Greenville Moose; he enjoyed fishing, casinos, gardening, and mostly spending time with his family, especially his great-grandkids. Preceded in death by his parents; son, Scott Frantz; daughter-in-law, Peggy Frantz; brother, John Frantz; and three sisters, Mary Diltz, Doris Warner and Betty Boehringer. Jack is survived by his wife 65 years, Janet E. (Schellenbarg) Frantz; daughter and son-in-law, Leisa & Mark Brandt of Bradford; son and daughter-in-law, Jack D. & Melinda Frantz of Covington; grandchildren, Matt & Vania Toller, Jordan & Wendy Brandt, Alicia Frantz, Lindsey Frantz, Brandi Frantz and Austin Honeyman; great-grandchildren, Carson, Paisley, Ari, Camila, Sawyer and Avery; brother and sister-in-law, Paul & Connie Frantz of Bradford; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral Service 1:00 PM Friday at Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Bradford with Pastor John Shelton officiating. Interment Highland Cemetery, Covington. Visitation 11:00 AM Friday until time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Bradford Fire & Rescue or Ohio Hospice of Miami County.
