Jack L. Hershey, age 85 of Bradford, passed away Sunday, August 13, 2023 at his home. Jack was born in Miami County on March 20, 1938 to the (late) Raymond Hershey & Mildred (Sellers) McCraner; was a U.S. Army National Guard Veteran; retired from Hartzell Propeller with 54 years of service; attended Bradford First Baptist Church; past member Covington Eagles Aerie #3998; loved watching Me TV, especially The Andy Griffith Show; and enjoyed square dancing. Preceded in death by his parents; son, John Hershey; brother, Eugene Hershey; two half- brothers, David McCraner and Kevin McCraner; and half-sister, Pam Walls. Jack is survived by his wife of 22 years, Nora Hershey; his children, Judy & Jim Bunck of Pleasant Hill, Trisha & Scott Bradley of Piqua, Rhonda & Howard Maston of Nashville, TN, Jennifer & Mike Reed of Bradford; daughter-in-law, Kim Hershey of Greenville; three step-children, Sherri & Curt Lingo of Bradford, Lee & Leslie Anne Harmon of Covington, Charla & Jeremy Evans of Plains City, OH; numerous grandchildren and step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; brother, Mike Hershey of Columbus; sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis & Jack Kirk of Piqua; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral Service 12 Noon Wednesday at Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Bradford with Pastor Dan Scalf officiating. Interment Gettysburg Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Veterans Elite Tribute Squad. Visitation 10:00 AM Wednesday until time of service at the funeral home.
