James “Jim” A. Stevens, age 58 of Covington, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at his home. Jim was born in Springfield, OH on April 24, 1966 to the (late) Douglas D. & Mary Laurel (Davis) Stevens; previously worked at Aunt Millies, Sidney as a Truck Driver; a member of the 44th Ohio Volunteer Infantry Band, playing the clarinet; was a “Master Tinkerer”, which also included working on cars and after he physically couldn’t work on them, he told other people how to fix them; and he loved and collected lighthouses. Preceded in death by his parents; infant son, Austin Davis Stevens; daughter, Melinda Anne Stevens, May 11, 2024, and brother and sister-in-law, Robert “Robbie” & Amanda “Mandi” Stevens. Jim is survived by his wife of 17 years, Lea Ann (Stevenson) Stevens; two daughters, Trisa Stevens of Covington, Jaymie Stevens of Springfield; the mother of his children, Brenda Miller; bonus children, Tara & David Reish of Pleasant Hill, Dusty Campbell & Paula Seeking of Van Wert, OH, and James “Jimmy” Dearth of Covington; sister and brother-in-law, Mary Sue & Terence Madigan of St. Louis, MO; numerous grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and friends. Celebration of Life Service 1:00 PM Tuesday at Bridges-Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Covington with Denise Boyer officiating.
