Jane L. Christian

Jane L. Christian, age 101 of Bradford, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at Hospice of Miami County, Troy, OH.  Jane was born on July 24, 1921 at Woodington, OH to the (late) Goldie (Bolinger) Fields and Leon E. Fields.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Norman Christian; second husband, Millard Brumbaugh; brothers, Dale Fields (died at 9 years old), Leon Fields Jr. and James Fields; sisters, Laura Keiser, Marjorie Schultz, Ruth Fields and Naomi Brown; and great-grandson, Corey Patty.  Jane graduated from Gettysburg High School, Class of 1939; she worked at Frank Girbert, Inc. for 11 years; also, Landmark Feed for two years, General Athletic for three years, Waco in Troy for three years and one year at Cadet Center and Separation Center in Texas. Jane is a member of Covington Presbyterian Church, attended Christian Women’s Club, with many international meetings with the club.  She loved to travel, sew, quilt, do crafting, mow the yard and loved working with her computer making greeting cards with it.  Jane is survived by her sons, Dennis and wife, Julie Christian and Don and wife, Carol Christian; sister, Glenna Ruhl; sister-in-law, Esther Fields; step-son, Robert and wife, Becky Brumbaugh; step-daughter, Janet and husband, Ron Fox; grandchildren, Lisa & husband, Rod Patty, Tracy Christian, Kelly Christian, Tim Christian and fiancée, Lisa Rudolph; great-grandchildren, Legend and husband, Evan Weaver, Heather Harff and Ross Sutton, Chelsie Harff, Jenna Christian and Taylor Christian; great-great-grandchildren, Jackson Seymour and Phoenix Sutton; and numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.  Funeral Service 2:30 PM Saturday at Bridges-Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Covington with Pastor Greg Kurtz officiating.  Visitation 1:30 PM until time of service.  Interment Gettysburg Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.stockerfraley.com.
