Janet Kay Welch, age 80 of Wapakoneta, formerly of Arcanum, passed away Friday, November 29, 2024 at The Gardens of Wapakoneta. Janet was born on April 13, 1944 in Rossburg, OH to the (late) Glen W. & Patricia I. (Pepple) Sanders; a graduate of Westmont High School (Tri Village High School); previously worked at Westinghouse in Union City, IN; baptized catholic and had attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Greenville, Immaculate Conception Church, Bradford, and St. Teresa Catholic Church, Covington; was a member off the Moose in Greenville; a member of the Covington and Greenville Eagles; a member of AMVETS Post #66, Covington; longtime Mary Kay Consultant; fan of the Cleveland Browns and the Cincinnati Reds; enjoyed playing bingo, Bunco, euchre, and rummy; and loved watching Elvis movies. Preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Mickey Sanders and Dale Sanders; and nephew, Jason Sanders. Janet is survived by her three children, Tammy Kemp-Michael of Plain City, OH, Travis Welch & Marylou Mauk of Wapakoneta; and Stacey & Kenneth Hensley of Huber Heights; seven grandchildren, Zachary & Katie Nicole Kemp, Corey Kemp, Dante & Malia Kemp, Leanna & Brandon Roop, Nicholas & Shania Welch, Brenden & Gabriela Reck, and Bryce Reck; nine great-grandchildren; four brothers and sisters, Keith & Sheila Sanders of Bradford, Timothy & Linda Sanders of Orange City, FL, Melanie Nolan of St. Paris, and Melissa & Dean Canan of Covington; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Prayer Service 1:00 PM Tuesday at Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Bradford. Interment Harris Creek Cemetery, Bradford. Visitation 11:00 AM Tuesday until time of service.
