Jean Peeples, age 73 of Bradford, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2021 at the Upper Valley Medical Center. Jean was born in Piqua on March 18, 1947 to the (late) Paul & Louise (Wagner) Anthony; previously worked for Garbry Ridge as a Resident’s Assistant and Hobart Brothers, Troy; member of St. Teresa Catholic Church, Covington; past member of the Covington Eagles Aerie #3998; member of the Bradford Community Club; enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles; loved traveling, morel mushroom hunting, and the Casinos; but most of all she loved to shop. Preceded in death by her parents; husband of 48 years, Wayne Peeples in 2014; two sisters, Mary Kay Berning and Mary Peeples; and brother-in-law, Arlen Peeples. Jean is survived by her children, Allen & wife, Lisa Marie Peeples of Sidney, Lisa & husband, Bill Elliott of Bradford; three grandchildren, Matthew & wife, Sierra Elliott, Ryan Elliott, and Kelli Peeples; great-grandson, Chanse; sister, Pauline & Bud Meyer of Covington; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank & Wava Anthony of Houston, Harry & Wendelin Anthony of Pleasant Hill, and Larry Paul Anthony of Madison, FL; sister-in-law, Ruby Peeples of Piqua; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Prayer Service 2:00 PM Friday at Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Bradford with Father Jim Duell officiating. Interment Miami Memorial Park Cemetery, Covington.
