Jean D. Pugh

Jean D. Pugh, age 102 of Columbus, formerly of Greenville and Bradford, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2023 at her home.  Jean was born in Columbus, OH on September 22, 1920 to the (late) Chester H. & Helen Marie (Dershem) Stocker; a graduate of Bradford High School, Class of 1938; attended Indiana University for two years; a previous member of the First United Methodist Church of Greenville and currently a member of Liberty Presbyterian Church in Powell, OH; enjoyed knitting and sewing, but her favorite hobby was quilting.  Preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Verlin Lee in 1987; second husband, Harry Pugh in 2000; son, Steven Lee in 2014; brother, Herb Stocker in 2015; sister, Janice Stocker in 2019; and step-daughter, Nancy O’Connor in 2022.  Jean is survived by her four children, Roberta & Doug Reeves in Columbus, OH, Jerry & Tina Lee of Burr Ridge, IL, Becky & Philip Mendys of Chapel Hill, NC; and Doug Lee of Owensboro, KY; step-son, Harry Pugh Jr.; and step-daughter, Jackie Luellen (Pugh) Richens; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brother, Clifford Stocker of Bradenton, FL; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Funeral Service 11:00 AM Saturday, January 21st, at Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Bradford with Pastor Greg Kurtz officiating.  Interment Harris Creek Cemetery, Bradford.  Visitation 5-6 PM Friday at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to your local Hospice.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.stockerfraley.com.
