Jetta A. Hudson Norris

Jetta A. Hudson Norris, age 98 of Sidney, passed away Sunday, September 11, 2022 at Dorothy Love Retirement Community.  Jetta was born in Piqua on July 7, 1924 to the (late) Newell & Katie Mae (Covault) Kerns; graduated from Staunton (Miami East) High School; was a former Assistant Secretary at Covington Savings & Loan for 22 years; a member and former deacon at the Covington Presbyterian Church; a past member of the Avocation Club, Covington; a past member of the Red Hat Society in Sidney and Florida; past member of the Troy Senior Citizens Club; enjoyed her card clubs; after retirement, she worked for many years at Bridges-Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Covington, greeting people as they came in for visitations; and she loved her grandchildren very much.  Preceded in death by her parents; her first husband of 53 years, Lawrence Hudson; her second husband, James Wilson Norris; sister, Martha Howell; and brother, Paul Kerns.  Jetta is survived by her three sons and daughters-in-law, Michael & Sandra (Thompson) Hudson of Montana, Timothy & Patricia (Drewett) Hudson of Alabama, Seven & Sonja (Warling) Hudson of Idaho; six grandchildren, Lane & Marina Hudson, Stephanie Hudson, Nicole Hudson, Kyle Hudson, Brad Hudson, and Meagan Hudson; two great-grandchildren, Emily Hudson and Colston Hudson; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.  Celebration of Life Service to be held at a later date. Her cremains will be laid to rest beside her husband, Lawrence in Fletcher Cemetery. Check our website for updated service times.
