Joel T. Phillips, age 92 of Sidney, formerly of Covington, passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at StoryPoint Senior Living, Troy. Joel was born in Fairfield County, Ohio on March 29, 1931 to the (late) Everett & Bernice (Drum) Phillips; was a graduate of Covington High School, Class of 1949; an U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Korean War; printer, co-owner and operator of Quality Forms of Piqua for 59 years; was a very giving person; loved to read; a “news junkie”; loved to play cards and travel; and family was everything. Preceded in death by his parents; wife of 57 years, Inez Leona Phillips in 2011; and infant son, Daryl Phillips. Joel is survived by his two daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy & John Frohne of Sidney, Barbara & William Pennock of Scottsdale, AZ; four granddaughters, Amanda and husband, Logan Terrell, Ashley Frohne, Anna Frohne, and Addy Frohne; four great-grandchildren, Ava, Eli, Londyn and Layla; brother and sister-in-law, Glen & Vanis Phillips of Sidney; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
