John E. Buckingham

John E. Buckingham, age 82 of Covington, passed away Thursday, December 5, 2024 at Stillwater Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation, Covington.  John was born in Troy on April 12, 1942 to the (late) John Eldon Buckingham (killed in action in WWII) and Lois Jeanne (Saul) Buckingham Borts; a graduate of Covington High School, Class of 1960. John enjoyed woodworking, working outside and especially spending time with his grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his step-father, Roy Borts; and half-sister, Rosemary Borts.  John is survived by his wife of 61 years, Roberta “Bobbie” Jean Buckingham; daughter and son-in-law, Renee & Terry Waag of Covington; two grandchildren, Shelby (Waag) Farling, Casey Waag and fiancée, Gracie Sheets; other relatives and friends.  Funeral Service 1:00 PM Saturday, December 14th at Bridges-Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Covington with Chaplain Mark Plummer officiating.   Interment Pleasant Hill Cemetery.  Visitation 11:00 AM Saturday until time of service.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ohio Hospice of Miami County.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.stockerfraley.com
