Joyce Brewer

Joyce Brewer, age 83 of Centerville, went home to be with Jesus, Friday, July 5, 2024 at Miami Valley South Hospital.  Joyce was born in Harlan, KY on May 18, 1941 to the (late) Alford & Thelma (Gibson) Croley; was a graduate of Evarts High School, Class of 1959; and received her Associate Degree from Southeast Community College; retired with 25 years of service from NCR as an Executive Assistant to numerous Vice Presidents; worked at Miami Valley Hospital, receiving many promotions and became a Technical Librarian; was a Retail Associate for Bealls; and worked as an assistant at Thompson Supply; a member of Kettering Assembly of God – Joyce was a devout Christian who kept a prayer journal and loved going to church; enjoyed watching old classic shows and movies; was an avid reader especially Amish and Christian romance novels; was well loved both professionally and personally – a very caring person.  Joyce never met a stranger! Mostly, she loved spending time with her family.  Preceded in death by her parents; brother, Donald Croley; and sister, Patricia Brewer.  Joyce is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Shawn & Kim Brewer of Huber Heights; three grandchildren, Aura Novo, Shawn Brewer, and David Brewer; two great-grandchildren and their mother, Violet Thompson-Brewer, Felix Thompson-Brewer; and Evelyn Thompson; grand dog, Eddie; grand cat, Noche; twin sister and brother-in-law, Janet & Roger Roper of Lexington, KY; brother and sister-in-law, Rod & Judy Croley of Union, OH; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Funeral Service Friday, July 19th, 1:00 PM at Bridges-Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Covington.  Interment Miami Memorial Park Cemetery, Covington.  Visitation 11:00 AM Friday the 19th until time of service at the funeral home.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.stockerfraley.com.
