Joyce Evelyn Magee

Joyce Evelyn Magee, age 89 of Greenville, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2025 the Brethren Retirement Community, Greenville.  Joyce was born in Troy on July 8, 1935 to the (late) George & Mary (Cotrell) Wenrick; a graduate of Covington High School, Class of 1953; in her younger years her first career at Sellman Furniture in Covington; she worked in the Migrant Ministries, was a Lutheran Sunday School and Bible School teacher; was an advisor for the Greenville School Board; was an Initiative for Kindergarten at Gettysburg School; was on the Board of Dayton Lutheran Social Services; a member of Frieden’s Lutheran Church of Covington  and St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Greenville; promoted and encouraged study of Body, Mind, and Spirit and was a Reki Master and a Tai Chi teacher; owner of Lifestyles Designer, Something New (clothing), Merle Norman Cosmetic Studio in Troy;  Collector and seller of antiques, children’s books and Art.  Joyce is survived by her husband of 70 years, Ralph D. Magee; two children, Shawn Magee & Julie Berger of Kettering, Colleen & Jody Pounds of Pensacola, FL; four grandchildren, Tricia & Jeff Hunter, Tyler Pounds, Kaitlyn & Christopher Hill, and David Alex Pounds; two great-grandchildren, Xavier Hunter and Waylon Hill; sister and brother-in-law, Vivian & Steve Marker of Yellow Springs, OH; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.   A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Bridges-Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Covington on April 5th 10:00 AM - 12 Noon with a procession to follow to Greenville Creek Cemetery for a Graveside Service with her husband, Ralph  with Pastor Darryl Peeples officiating.
